The Church, the Body of Christ, is manifested in the world through local churches.  To the glory of God, the mission of the North Congregational Church of New Salem is three-fold:

1. The exaltation of the Savior and the Scriptures.  The Church's highest privilege and responsibility is to glorify God (1 Cor. 10:31).
2. The edification of the redeemed people of God.  The Church exists as a gathered community of Believers to build up all who are apart of it.
3. The evangelization of the lost.  The Church is commissioned as a Body and as individual believers to make Christ known to the whole world (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
